Educational Work

EDUCATIONAL WORK AND PROJECTS

Through my work as an Incorporated Engineer, a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a STEM Ambassador (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) , my interest lies in conquering human error and developing competence in individuals and groups regardless of gender and societal, racial or religious background. I am a consummate advocate of education for all as a fundamental right according to the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I also spend a great deal of volunteer time mentoring individuals of all ages to help them with their career aspiration. I also partake in activities with schools, colleges and/or other organisations such as judging at the Big Bang Fair North West in Liverpool, being a panellist for a Q&A session at the Manchester Science Festival or talking to secondary school girls about the merits of an engineering career.

Please check out some of my work below!  Any question, simply email me at delphineryan@protonmail.com or on +44 (0)753 328 1098.

STEM NEWSROUND

A combined STEM and literacy educational initiative

We often hear how a good command of English and a good literacy level is not required for STEM subjects or STEM careers. This is a complete falsehood and is not based on facts. On the contrary, literacy is vital for real success in STEM studies and careers.
STUDY TECH AND THE THREE BARRIERS TO STUDY

The basic fact is that students fail to learn because no one ever taught them how to learn—that is, how to identify the barriers to learning and how to overcome those barriers.

Not only has Study Tech got the solutions to the problems of learning, it puts education firmly back where it has always belonged: in the field of philosophy.
STUDY TECH BOOKS FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

A list of available Study Tech textbooks from ages 7+ upwards to teachers and adults, including Grammar and Communication for Children and How to Use of Dictionary. Translated in up to 18 languages.
THE DECLINE OF WESTERN EDUCATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY

A brief overview of the historical background behind the current steep decline in Western education and literacy levels. I highlight important points which I encourage the reader to research and come to their own conclusions.
